Title:Rigidity and weak rigidity
Abstract: An important technical assumption in the theory of tensor categories is the notion of rigidity. Unfortunately, this assumption is sometimes difficult to verify. Much easier assumption is that of weak rigidity. In this talk I will discuss some new results (due to Etingof, Penneys, Alqady, Stroinski) describing the relation between these two notions.
Speaker:Victor Ostrik, University of Oregon, Professor. V. Ostrik works on Lie theory, tensor category and algebraic geometry. His researcher results are published in Ann. of Math, Invent. Math, Duke Math. J, etc. Due to outstanding contribution to the Lie theory, the 2024 Chevalley Prize in Lie Theory is awarded to Victor Ostrik by the American Mathematical Society.
