TitleGlobal weak solutions for the compressible viscous non-resistive MHD system and related model

AbstractThe time evolution of electrically conducting compressible flows under the mutual interactions with the magnetic field is described by the system of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). In this talk, we first focus on the existence of global-in-time weak solutions for the full compressible viscous non-resistive MHD system with large initial data. For a simplified 2D MHD model of full compressible viscous non-resistive flows, we prove the existence of global-in-time weak solutions by invoking the ideas from compressible two-fluid model. Secondly, for the general 3D inviscid resistive MHD system, we prove the existence of infinitely many global-in-time weak solutions for any smooth initial data by the method of convex integration. Thirdly, for the general 3D full compressible viscous non-resistive MHD system, we show the global small data well-posedness via the celebrated two-tier energy method. These results are largely based on the joint work with Prof. Eduard Feireisl and Prof. Yongzhong Sun.
