Title:Generalized inverses, matrix and operator equations II: Different properties and characterizations of generalized inverses
Abstract:In this lecture we will discuss different properties of the DMP-inverse of a square matrix. We will characterize DMP-inverses of square matrices as outer inverses with prescribed range and null space, as (B;C)-inverses and as Drazin inverses. Also we will present several different characterizations based on their range and null space as well some algebraic ones. Also, we will focus on the class of the so called co-EP matrices. Several original features of the class are identified and new properties characterized. In some cases, the results available in the literature are recaptured in a more general form. An important part of the lecture will be devoted to the problem concerning completing an upper triangular matrix to a co-EP matrix, which has never been addressed in the literature so far.
