报告题目：Dualities in Mathematics and Logical Considerations

Abstract: Riesz’s representation theorem is fundamental in functional analysis. In this theorem, we call Lp and Lq spaces are dual spaces if p and q are conjugates. In this talk, we will talk about more dualities in mathematics, including Gelfand duality for C* algebra, Stone duality for Boolean algebra. I will present our exploration on logical considerations of these dualities.

报告人简介；吴国华，南洋理工大学教授。本科、硕士均毕业于扬州师范学院数学系, 博士毕业于新西兰惠灵顿维多利亚大学，师从Downey教授，主要从事数理逻辑、可计算性理论研究及逻辑在数学中的应用。2003年获新西兰皇家学院年度Hatherton奖（唯一华人获奖者），2005年加入新加坡南洋理工大学工作，至今主持新加坡教育部国家自然科学基金4项，参与中国国家自然科学基金重点项目、国际交流合作项目多项。已在JML，APAL，JSL，MLQ等数理逻辑方向TOP期刊上发表SCI论文60多篇。
