报告题目： Applications of Diophantine Approximation to Sun Zhi-Wei's Conjecture about Difference Between Powers

报告简介： In this talk we will answer a part of Sun Zhi-Wei’s conjecture by solving some kind of Generalized Ramanujan-Nagell Equation. In order to obtain the result we will recall some development in this direction. In fact we may research some related Diophantine equations to approach another part of Sun's conjecture.

报告人：祝辉林，厦门大学数学科学学院副教授，武汉大学博士，山东大学博士后，加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学访问学者。主要从事数论与密码学的研究，特别是丢番图方程、计算数论和密码学算法分析设计及实现等，在《Acta Arith.》、《J. Number Theory》和《Q. J. Math.》等杂志发表论文20余篇，主持过国家自然科学基金、福建省自然科学基金等国家和省部级科研项目等。
