题目：Knot theory and its applications

摘要: In this talk I will give a very elementary introduction to knot theory and its applications. Topics include several applications of knot theory (the motivation of the study), some history of knot theory, basic questions in knot theory, several classical results of knot theory, methods of study and various knot invariants, especially the now well known Jones polynomial and HOMFLY polynomial. This talk is very elementary and is suitable for upper level undergraduate students and graduate students at all levels. It will be given in Chinese.
