题目： Event Data Analysis and Its Applications

摘要: Biostatistics is a collection of statistical methods dealing with data arising from public health, medical research and others. It is also very useful in finance and econometrics. Event history analysis is a major component of Biostatistics that studies failure and occurrence of events. One of the most encountered problems in the analysis of event data is that the observed data are often incomplete with missing information. Scientific progresses in medical research, genetic engineering and bioinformatics etc. are posting new challenges for developing new statistical methods and making Statistics/Biostatistics an active area of research. This talk presents an introduction to the methods for analyzing event history data and some applications.
